A BLOG FOR BAD ASS BITCHES

The irreversibility of time
Time is such an ambiguous concept. We often say, "I'm sorry, but I don't have enough time." The irony is that each and everyone of us has the exact same amount of time. I don't know of anyone that has more than sixty minutes in an hour or more than 24 hours in a day. What's even more ironic is that I'm fairly certain everyone only has 365 days in a year. That is with the exception of leap year, which happens every four years. Regardless, I've yet to meet anyone who knowingly

Is your outside a reflection of your inside?
Recently I read that our inside is a reflection of the world we create around us. This was actually in my meditation today. It got me thinking, which is always dangerous. Pause
I'm not even going to lie. This post is a braggy mom one. I simply can't help it. Hope, my oldest daughter, has created a short film for the Easter Seal's Disability Film Challenge again this year. Most of you already know, but Hope has Cerebral Palsy. She has Ataxia (tremors) in all four limbs. All the doctors have always said she just didn't cook long enough. She was a thirty week baby, which was in the oven longer than we expected. With only one lung, it was impossible to

Hometowns - Residence or Home?
Everyone has a hometown. A point of origin, so to speak. Some remain there for the duration of their life, while others need to branch out and maybe try somewhere new. But what exactly is it that determines the destination someone calls home. People relocate for jobs, climate, significant others and even friends. Everyone knows this, but what constitutes the difference between a residence and a home. Most of us have had several residences in our lifetime. These could consist
