What is a "Spring Break"
Everyone knows early March to mid-April is usually when academia schedules a break from studies, the one to two week period known as spring break. Some of us have college kids come home, while others have their k-12 school age kids home during the daytime hours. Years past at our house this might mean shopping trips for Easter dresses or maybe a few local day trips. With Brian working this didn't necessarily mean an out of town vacation, at least not for an entire week anyway

Fear of Failure
What is failure? Why are we so scared of it? A quick look in Webster's tells me the transitive verb form means to abandon or forsake; to leave undone or neglect. We all want to feel successful at anything and everything we choose to do. I always wanted to be

My little Palanca
It's Friday and I'm happy. Why, you ask? I'll tell you why. It's certainly not because of my technical skills. I've probably spent the better part of the hour trying to upload a picture of my niece. My sister-in-law asked me to write a letter of Palanca for Kayla's upcoming retreat as a candidate for her upcoming confirmation. Apparently "palanca" means lever in Spanish. Being one of probably only about five college graduates worldwide who eked out a degree WITHOUT taking a
