Day 12 after Craniotomy and my priorities have changed a tad bit.

Here is a quick list of my current priorities now that I'm 12 days out.

  1. Jenn, Mom, Aunt Jeni, aunt Jenn, jeni, Jennifer, Big, the Beav, Biggles are all names that refer to me. With the exception of b#%*+, s%#< and w#%<*, there are no nicknames I find offensive.

  2. Everyone should take one nap a day. Of course, it may help to note that I'm also a special needs mom who has fought and won this very argument in at least three different states.

  3. I am the queen of creative, innovative and obnoxiously annoying IEP and 504 jargon and lingo.

  4. My parents are two of the most adaptable people I know and if I teach the girls nothing else, I hope I can teach them to garner a respectful understanding of adaptability. There's something to be said about someone having the ability to walk in a room with strangers and leave it with all friends.

  5. In 99.9% of the the times, my brother Wade Crosswhite, can do it. The other 0.001 of the time is when he's mad at his big sis.

  6. Dad, aka(Bubby) is known for his acute observation skills pertaining to Oympic events. To date, he swears this is the secret to his success in freestyle downhill slope skiing and diving.

  7. I had a couple of bananas about to go bad, so mom made us banana bread. Tasted awesome, but mom was worried about the loaf’s physical outcome since it was a little soft and gooey at it's center. In my experience, people and food always seem better when a little soft and gooey in the center.

  8. Admittedly, I am NOT fluent in emoji language, but I'm fortunate enough to have a keen interpreter, Phoebe Austin

  9. When all else fails, tell the truth. ugly or not.

  10. Closed caption television is fabulous. I don't have to rewind 22,000 times during a show or movie.
